Nexans Turkey Hosted Technical Committee of TCDD

Nexans Tuzla Plant hosted TCDD (Republic of Turkey State Railways) committee between November 05 and 08, 2018 as part of Technical Training Seminar.

The seminar was held with the participation of 14 specialists from various cities within the 2nd region of TCDD. The program directed by Kamil Mutlu, Technical Manager of Nexans Tuzla, commenced with a tour of the plant in Tuzla and continued with Technical Training Seminar. During the seminar, global railway products portfolio of Nexans and cable solutions special for TCDD were discussed.

Cable assembly and test equipment were actively used during the seminar and, subsequently, the participants received their certificates from Kamil Mutlu, Technical Manager of Nexans Tuzla, and Emre Erol, Sales Director of Nexans Turkey.

Hasan Mumcu, Key Accounts & Railways Segment Responsible of Nexans Turkey: “TCDD operates with a broad range of web of services distributed to 8 regions, in total, in Turkey. As part of our “Project for Manufacturing Railway Signal Cables in Turkey” which we initiated in 2011, we offer services for the projects of TCDD in every region. We are very pleased to host the relevant TCDD committee at our plant and to contribute to the development of our collaboration that we could follow the orders in this project.”   

Kamil Mutlu, Technical Manager of Nexans Turkey: “Technical Training Seminar which was held with the participation of the General Directorate of TCDD and relevant officers from various cities allowed us to share information once more with TCDD, one of the key customers of Nexans Turkey. The event proved very beneficial with a plant tour and subsequent technical presentations, and many questions were answered concerning cable. TCDD committee left the plant in a very satisfied mood having had the chance to see the expertise of Nexans Turkey in cable production and technique. The training & technical support activities which we continue for years with this distinguished institution of our country will continue increasingly.”
